Kozí hrádek

For the past month, I've been working on this project inspired by Kingdom Come Deliverance. I chose to create concept art for a Real castle that once existed in medieval Bohemia. The castle I chose was Kozí hrádek, which existed during the same timeframe in which the games KCD 1 and KCD 2 took place. For this project, I wanted to create artwork which would show what the surrounding areas may have looked like, the castle itself and my rendition of what I thought some of the interiors may look like. The castle is in ruin today, and only the rocky foundations remain, so I had to do a lot of research into the castle and make up areas based on knowledge and examples of other castles in the region. Bringing these ruins to life through painting and concepting has only deepened my love for world building and visual storytelling. It is my dream to continue creating environments like this professionally as a concept artist, and for me, this project represents a step forward to that goal. :)
